Final Post

Hi Bloggers. I have lost interest in posting a daily blog, so this is my last post. To all those who have visited this blog over the years, thank you very much. I have valued your comments. I will still continue my main blog when something exciting is worth posting and I will still endeavour to visit my favourite sites.

Clem 7 Tunnel Ventilation Stack

This is one of the two ventilation stacks of the Clem 7 Cross City Tunnel. This is the northern one, There is another one neat the south portal. A lot of people think they look ugly.

Award winning Nursery

We went to lunch the other day at one of Brisbane's icons, Nielsen's Native Nursery at Loganholme. They have a fantastic restaurant/coffe shop and we often go there for lunch, so this time I took my camera with me.

Library mural

A few days ago I showed you the John Oxley Library. This is the annex with it's famous mural by Victorian artist Linsay Edwards. There are plans afoot to re-develop the entire area to be known as North Bank which will most likely see both these buildings disapear.

A block of units at Scarborough

This block of units is located at Scarborough on the Redcliffe Peninsula north Brisbane.

Springwood Bus Terminal

A few years ago, the State Government built Busways to remove buses from the public roads. This has greatly improved public transport especially from outer suburbs. To make access to the bus stations, these overpasses were built including lifts. This is the Springwood overpass in Logan City.

John Oxley Library

The State Library of Queensland's John Oxley Library opened in 1934 and is responsible for collecting, managing and providing access to material that documents Queensland's history, development and cultural life.
The Library is used by a diverse range of researchers including academics, the media, students, government departments, historians and interested members of the general public.
