We're away in Sydney
Hi there in Blogland. Diane and I are flying to Sydney this morning, for three weeks to be with our daughter Sonya who is expecting our first grandchild. So I'll be blogging by 'remote control' to keep to the rules of City Daily Blog. Not sure if I'll be able to follow all your blog posts, but I'll try.
So here's my last contribution from home

Lawn Bowls - New Farm

A lot of clubs actually shut down when memberships declined. But lately the clubs have relaxed their rules and codes and on certain days there is now a younger generation playing the game.

Inner city suburb of New Farm
New Farm is a very popular and cosmopolitan inner city suburb on the Brisbane River with a big park and and many coffee shops.

Lots of apartment buildings

The park is popular on weekends for all sort of
gatherings and picnics.

But there are also very posh houses.

The Powerhouse Complex used to be a power station but has been
converted by the city council and state government into an arts
complex with theaters and restaurants.
