I really enjoyed coming across this fellow and his colourful street barrow in the CBD of Brisbane. It reminded me of when I was little and walking with my mum through the streets of Sydney and there were many street barrows. Now they are few and far between.

He has certainly set his stall out nicely.
ReplyDeleteGreat, fruity foto! I hope he sold lots of apples, bananas, pears ...
ReplyDeleteWe don't have any of these in Ocala, except a few on the outskirts called "Farmer's markets" or such.
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to have more in town as so often the fruits and veggies in the supermarkets are tasteless and yucky!
They have all but vanished here as well.
ReplyDeleteWe a a thing call Farmer's Market that occurs in the summer, one day a week. Nothing as dramatic as this one. The back of a pickup truck. I don'to shop there. (Since Iraise our own) but it sure beats the grocery stores.
