KURILPA BRIDGE

Another new bridge was built in Brisbane last year. It opened on 4th Oct. It is called the Kurilpa Bridge. It spans the Brisbane River from Kurilpa point to Tank Stream Point. It is an aboriginal word for "place of water rats". It is a multi mast cable-stay structure and is used for pedestrians and cyclists only. It connects the CBD on the left with the Cultural Centre.

  1. Not sure if I like the look of this bridge! It certainly is different to all the others - and is very eye-catching!
