Themis is the Greek Goddess of Justice, She is described as "of good counsel", and is the embodiment of divine order, law, and custom.Themis means "law of nature" rather than human ordinance, literally "that which is put in place". She stands outside the Law Courts in George Street. The enscription below explains.

My bro and his daughter are lawyers. They have a little statue in the house. It has her eyes covered. Something he said that justice is blind.
ReplyDeleteVery impressive. I want no truck with Madame Themis because of her arming. I know statues on court houses which have an additional blindfold. Interesting that Themis has not.

Also the Minister for having a road diverted past a tavern that he owned, the Minister that had no ideas of casinos at that time, the minister who collected money in brown envelopes - yes the list goes on! Fortunately for him, he died, before "Themis" caught up with him.
I think the Grand-daughter has his genes!!!
