We ended up in court yesterday! OK, settle down... It was Open Day at the new Magistrates Court in Brisbane, so we jumped on a train to Roma Street in the city and walked up George Street for the tour at 10 o'clock. One of the architects who designed the building acted as our guide and took us through the building including a couple of court rooms

Interesting post, Bill. About five years ago I had to do jury service in Auckland and saw our District Court from the inside. When I passed the building some time ago I noticed that now it's all security screens and security personnel - times are changing.
ReplyDeleteReally cool Bill!
ReplyDeleteVery modern looking alright.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, we were told that that is the court room where Dr Patel's committal hearing was held. The case then progressed to the District Court where he was found guilty of manslaughter. He was given a 7 years jail term
ReplyDeleteDid you see my young niece? She works on the Gold Coast but she has to go to Brisbane court. LOL
