Kurilpa Bridge

This is the new Kurilpa Bridge, a foot bridge between the city and the arts precinct. We heard a small child referring to it as 'the fiddle stick bridge'. The community is divided about it you either hate it or you love it. Myself, I rather like it. We have enough boring bridges in Brisbane.
This picture was taken from the first floor of the Gallery of Modern Art

  1. I don't cope well with modern art. I do love that name "Fiddlestick Bridge" there seems to be heaps of development going on in Brissie.

  2. I think that's one ugly bridge.

  3. On the contrary, I think it is a beautiful structure. Similar, rather, to some along the Yarra. Variety is what I look for in bridges.

It is a long time since I have been to Brissie. Will rectify that.

  4. I forgot to mention that this is the first solar-powered footbridge in the world and is beautifully lit at night with power collected during the day.

  5. Fabulous! I adore modern art. And the fact that it's the first solar-powered footbridge in the world just makes it that more special.
