Breakfast Creek Clock Tower

The complex where this clock tower stands is about to be re-developed. Not sure if the new design will incorporate the old clock tower.

  1. Luis!
The clocktower in question is "heritage listed" and cannot be touched, so to speak.
If developments take place, the clocktower will be incorporated into the new building.

  2. Great clock tower. I remember seeing it about ten years ago. There are some restaurants nearby aren't there?

  3. Yes J Bar - across the water from this clocktower in the 'famous' Brisbane icon, the "Breakfast Creek Hotel", famous for the "tap" room bar and of course the steaks. Not quite as good as when the original family owned the establishment - I think they were the Stewart family???? ( Anyone know for sure?).
Other restaurants are close, some good, some terrible and as you drive towards the city, there are a number of excellent restaurants.

  6. I hope they keep the clock tower - shame if they put some of those peculiar high-rise things I've seen your photo above this one.
