We were in Skagway, Alaska, last week. Now for those of you who don't know, Skagway is a cute little town with wall to wall jewellery and souvenir shops open only a few months of the year. Most of them close for winter and the shopkeepers head south. The famous (or infamous, as most people in Skagway told me) Sarah Palin went to school in Skagway. So when I saw her in one of the shops, I asked Diane to take a picture of Sarah and me.
Poor Sarah, she is not popular in Alaska anynore
You look like you're having a good chat, Bill! Did you buy any jewellery for your lovely Diane? Good to have you both back on blogger. Greetings from Jo

ReplyDeleteShe's not popular at my house either. :)
ReplyDeleteShe looks a bit like an airline hostess! Heaven help the country if she gets the nomination for 2012.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I cannot stand her.
ReplyDeleteLooks like she was one of the Cabin crew on Air Canada! She would be good pushing the "drink trolley" up the aisles!
ReplyDeleteHow come you didn't give her a little "peck" on her rosy cheek? Were you shy?
Now all you have to do is find the "Ferguson" version of Sarah. What a pair of photos that would be????
Cheers
Colin (HB)
Come on Bill, she is a life size cardboard Sarah. Ann J
ReplyDeleteShe is not popular at my house, and if she gets the nomination we're in for more trouble than anyone realizes.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure, perhaps you are pulling my leg?
ReplyDeleteSeems there's little difference between a cardboard cut-out and the real thing.
ReplyDeletehehehhehe,
ReplyDeleteMy son stood besides a Singapore airline girl cut out in Auckland airport.
Were you away during your election?
I had my photo taken with Andre Agassi once! Like with your Sarah photo. Somehow, methinks that lady isn't very popular in other places as well.
ReplyDeleteYou and Sarah have the same height ...
