Look who I bumped into last week in Skagway, Alaska

We were in Skagway, Alaska, last week. Now for those of you who don't know, Skagway is a cute little town with wall to wall jewellery and souvenir shops open only a few months of the year. Most of them close for winter and the shopkeepers head south. The famous (or infamous, as most people in Skagway told me) Sarah Palin went to school in Skagway. So when I saw her in one of the shops, I asked Diane to take a picture of Sarah and me.
Poor Sarah, she is not popular in Alaska anynore

  1. You look like you're having a good chat, Bill! Did you buy any jewellery for your lovely Diane? Good to have you both back on blogger. Greetings from Jo

  4. She looks a bit like an airline hostess! Heaven help the country if she gets the nomination for 2012.

  5. My husband and I cannot stand her.

  6. Looks like she was one of the Cabin crew on Air Canada! She would be good pushing the "drink trolley" up the aisles!
How come you didn't give her a little "peck" on her rosy cheek? Were you shy?
Now all you have to do is find the "Ferguson" version of Sarah. What a pair of photos that would be????
    Cheers

  8. She is not popular at my house, and if she gets the nomination we're in for more trouble than anyone realizes.

  10. Seems there's little difference between a cardboard cut-out and the real thing.

My son stood besides a Singapore airline girl cut out in Auckland airport.

  12. I had my photo taken with Andre Agassi once! Like with your Sarah photo. Somehow, methinks that lady isn't very popular in other places as well.
