Old water fountain in Newstead Park

This is an old disused water fountain in the park of Newstead House on the Brisbane River. Newstead House and its garden are a very popular visiting venue on a weekend.

    Shame that the fountain no longer works. That sort of thing gives much amenity to a city.

    It's nice the way it blends right in with the green, even if it doesn't work. I like how it has the little fountain dish at the bottom maybe for pets?

    We have that service. Our bin is an unattractive maroon colour. Really quite inappropriate.
