It is not very wide. The boats do not appear to be shallow draughted. Why is the channel all the way over beside the mangroves? The river bank this side appears man-made. Lovely reflections. I love low cloud like that.
Julie and Bruce This small creek goes passed the "time honoured" Breakfast Creek Hotel and after where this photo was taken runs into a virtual mangrove swampland. The "creek" is tidal and the stench at lowtide is overwhelming, but plenty of water birds have a field day in this area. Actually the creek virtually goes nowhere - it is just a low level type of area with a short waterway. Cheers Colin (HB)
Lovely shot. I've actually been there. I worked out of an office at Breakfast Creek, a few years back. I remember the pub and the restaurants along the creek.

ReplyDeleteIt is good to see the mangroves are left alone.

ReplyDeleteJulie,
ReplyDeleteWe don't know. Our tour guide, Ann, is the only one who knows. More on tomorrow's blog.
