Mary Poppins in Maryborough

Amazing what you see when you go for a drive:

Mary Poppins in Maryborough, of course. Mary Poppins books were written by Maryborough author and journalist P.L. Travers, hence the statue of Mary Poppins in Maryborough.

  1. Well good God! The things one learns from the remarkable BB. I didn't believe this post! I really thought BB had taken to the bottle, so I "googled" P.L.Travers! What a surprise born in Maryborough in 1899!
Looking forward to more educational photos, BB. Great stuff. Safe travelling.
    Cheers
