Come in jetplane

A Virgin Air jet is coming in to land at Brisbane Airport

  1. Hi Bill! This is a very fine photo! It almost looks like you used a lomo effect. How can you tell that is a Virgin Air plane? Looks like it's been around to me! ;-)

  2. Excellent shot. Beautiful blue sky too.

    Darryl and Ruth : )

  3. Nice photo, makes me want to travel.

  4. But its fuselage is upwards pointing ... where do you keep your airport?

  5. Good observation Julie
The plane is taking off - using the over the city routing, could be about to turn north and fly west of Albion. That is the route taken by most flights from Brisbane airport - international and domestic. They climb rapidly to not upset people with any noise.
Jacob - Virgin Blue planes have a red fuselage
    with a white tail.

  6. I can assure you both that this plane was coming into land. We are on the northern side of the river just in front of the airport and planes were coming in to land one after the other. Funnily enough the smaller planes were higher than the bigger jets. It must be an optical illusion that makes you think its going up.
