You can park there

The new car park building at the Domestic Terminal at Brisbane Airport.

  1. BB - that's just one of many and still they are building them!!!! I have seen these highrise carports for "long parking periods", like a couple of days or more, full up at 6.00am! It really frightens you to see them to understand how many cars are actually on our roads! They also have a series of them being now contructed at the International Terminal.
    Great reporting Bill

  2. I cannot for the life of me think what the planners are aiming at with this sort of construction. Either put them below ground or, better still, ban them altogether and have fast rail links that radiate to rail-hubs through the city. Melbourne does this sooooo much better than either Brisbane or Sydney.

  3. Hi Julie
Couldn't agree more with your comment.
In Brisbane ( a 24 hour airport - unlike Sydney), the rail link from the city operates from 6.00am to 7.30pm!!!! The cost on the train from the city and even from the closest suburban link to the air terminals, Eagle Junction, if $15 oneway! That is highway robbery. The rail services should run on a 24 hour basis - it is ridiculous.

  4. Why can't modern day planners and builders make something that looks attractive? It is quite stark.

  5. I have to agree with Julie. And they continue to construct these things above ground? For what reason? Eyesore!
